Pickering Series 67 New High-Voltage Relay

May 12, 2022

Pickering has launched new High-Voltage 200W, long-life Dry Reed Relays within their exclusive Series 67 range.

This range has relays that are built using a leadframe in a Single-In-Line (SIL) format and features former-less coils, which allows for a smaller package. It comes with a stand-off voltage of up to 8kV and capable of 6kV switching with an impressive power rating of 200W.

“Long-life tungsten contacts with a higher power and high current carry capabilities enable Series 67 reed relays to be used in high-performance applications where high reliability is demanded. The unusual SIL package style permits some interesting stacking possibilities making the relays very versatile when used to construct high-density multiplexers or matrices,” said Kevin Mallett, Technical Specialist at Pickering Electronics.

The new Dry Reed Relays includes PCB connections to switch and coil, and in 1 Form A and 1 Form C configurations. The relays are available with 5, 12 and 24V coils with optional internal diode. These features make it extremely compatible with high-voltage applications like Electrosolar and Cable Testing.
